Why do you think certain rolemodels, like Ghandi and MLKJ are endorsed by society?

Not my question, one I heard a while ago on a different platform, but I was curious. Someone stated that schools and the general populace raise these people on a pedestal because they encourage peaceful protest. If all we have is peaceful protest, a revolution can never come about.

Note: I don't believe this wholly, I'm just curious

He was a womanizer with many kinks and advised people to live a simple life while he himself, when in jail, enjoyed the company of three women in the premises to serve him in every way, he was also everything he denied he was. he went to South Africa only for money and fame and not because he was a fucking saint, look it up online there's a lot more
