I love that the same people who advocate for animal rights are the same people who advocate for cutting a dog's nuts off.

Pretty sure having nuts is a right all male dogs like to have.

🤔 Its not necessary for an male dog to make litter after litter of pups when there are so many unwanted animals as there is.

@Snowvixen cutting and animals nuts off is cruel and barbaric no matter the reason you're doing it
@WeighedDown It's not cruel if done properly. They use anesthetic. The equivalent of an vasectomy. Too many pups and abandon animals in general end up in trash bags in freezers for dissection. (one of many ways shelters get funding, and deal with the dead animals)
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen no cutting testicles off and vasectomy are not the same testicles produce testosterone when they're gone they no longer produce that for the dog now do they? They can still have sex but they won't want to it's fucking cruel and every male on the planet knows this even if they won't admit it,, my dog keeps his nuts always,
@WeighedDown Both procedures prevent any offspring from forming.. I rather have my dog neutered then an litter of pups be murdered because they can't find them a home in time.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen there is a reason why human beings have vasectomies and are not neutered a male without nuts is a miserable existence, I would have my dog put down before I would clip his nuts death is the less cruel option in that scenario
@WeighedDown 🤔 So, if he developed testicular cancer you would put him to sleep? Instead of just neutering?
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen yeah, I would rather be dead than have no testicles and would not wish a nutless existence on anyone especially my dog but testicular cancer usually only affects one testicle, probably super rare in dogs but let's not pretend that cancer is why dogs lose their nuts.
@WeighedDown 🤔 Hmm. . . Sometimes it is. Ya know animals that are not altered sometimes have higher medical risks, and behavioral issues. 🤔
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen yeah so do humans but we don't cut their nuts off,, somehow I figure you're against declawing cats and clippings a dogs ears and tails but fine with cutting their balls off.
@WeighedDown I am FOR keeping animals healthy, and unwanted animals OUT of city pounds.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen not having nuts is not healthy, i am for keeping my animals happy and in case you missed it earlier a male without testicles is a miserable existence and human beings display a superiority complex they decide to mess up God's creation by altering it if you don't want your dog to get other dogs pregnant keep it inside then he can keep his nuts.
@WeighedDown It is not a superiority complex. Dogs get out ALL the time, its better to be safe than sorry. My dog growing up was the product of another dog jumping the fence. When there is a will there is a way.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen so you're telling me had its owners been cruel and callous enough to remove his nuts you wouldn't have a dog right now would you?
@WeighedDown No. Not at all. I am saying, if a male dog smells a bitch in heat they gonna find a way to get some of her. 😂 If that means jumpin a fence, or digging holes in the backyard, or zipping out of the front door when it opens. They will.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen right but had your dog father had an owner like you your dog wouldn't exist so you should thank owners like me without us your dog wouldn't exist right now so when you're petting his nutless ass tell him Mulder says you're welcome and regrets he didn't get to keep his nuts like his father before him, and his father before him. A dog's natural instinct is to eat and breed you have took one of those away from him and are proud to have done it and defend it like it's the right thing it's baffling to me
@WeighedDown Adding to the pet population is negligence on the owners part. My current dog was left on the streets because the owner didn't own up and take care of him. He is deathly afraid of loud noises because the streets of Tennessee were his home. Do you know how many animals are currently without homes in the world? If that is baffling as to why I am on the side of spay and neutering then I don't know what to say.

* According the SPCA, approximately 6.5 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, approximately 3.3 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats. Each year, approximately 1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized (670,000 dogs and 860,000 cats). *

Knowing this, how can we as humans allow those POOR animals that get euthanized to continue KNOWING that if we spay and neuter it would prevent such a thing.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen humans are overpopulated too but we don't cut thair nuts off do you think we should? Plus there are other ways to sterilize your dog with cutting his nuts off such as Chemical Neutering. Yes, it's entirely possible to partially neuter a dog using drugs they can even have a
Vasectomy
and I'm from Tennessee so my dog may be your dogs father, and my dogs will keep their nuts
@WeighedDown How exactly? Doggy birth control? That is sad.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen doggy birth control is sad and cutting his nuts off is nut?

Here is the link I found https://www.embracepetinsurance.com/waterbowl/article/spay-neuter-alternatives
@WeighedDown No, what is sad is that you don't care if your dog is impregnating other dogs, and not knowing what is happening to the pups. My current dog had to be transported 9 hours away to where I live in order to get adopted. No one wanted him in Tennessee. Its like that for many dogs, not every shelter wants to euthanize dogs or cats so they transport them elsewhere in hopes of getting adopted. My dogs first 11 months of life were on the streets and shelter.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen Vasectomy is clearly the better option
This procedure is not a traditional “neuter” at all. As with men who undergo this common human procedure, dogs keep all their testicular tissue intact and consequently retain all their sex hormones. The only difference is that the tube that shuttles sperm is disrupted so that all those little guys can’t get to where they need to go.

Though not commonly performed in dogs, a vasectomy is an easy procedure, easier than castration, actually.

Its benefits (as compared to the complete castration)? It’s quicker, easier, and less uncomfortable and it allows dogs to keep the health benefits of testosterone (reduced incidence of obesity, improved muscle mass for better geriatric mobility, and reduced incidence of prostate cancer).
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen if you choose to remove his testicles over a Vasectomy it's not about the babies it's about behavior and the point of a dog is it behaves like a dog.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen in conclusion you cruelly castrated your dog when a vasectomy would have been safer cheaper and even healthier wow you really love animals I hope your dog doesn't develop prostate cancer or become obese
@WeighedDown 🤦‍♀️ Whatever floats yer boat dude. 😂 My pup is healthy and neutered. And every dog I adopt will be spayed or neutered.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Snowvixen honestly was kinda trolling you, I don't care that you made your dog a munic, but I will never do that to my dog because I treat dogs as equals and I would never do that to a person
