Seems like the more the news obsesses over these shootings the more of them we have. Do you see a pattern, maybe we should regulate the news coverage.

Why won't the news talk about that, they love to talk about how guns are the problem instead of people but they don't want to talk about how their giving these nutcases a platform contributes to the problem.

You can prove that they use guns and move to arguing from there.

But how did you conclude they are after the publicity?

That's the difference.

Without talking about these issues, how exactly do you start solving them?

@Miram It is simple statistics and observations. Let them ban guns, people will find new ways of killing people, that will be obsessed 24/7 in the news cycle then other nutcases will copy that. Just watch.

what statistics?

They won't ban guns and they don't care about banning guns either.

What will happen is that the common people will continue bickering in a trivial manner, never understanding each other's needs and never feeling fulfilled. Too busy throwing labels and feeling right , never reaching a common ground. Your common american gun owner thinking they wanna take his registered gun, and your common minority citizen thinking you want to kick him out.

And maybe some do but that becomes the typical discourse.

While the elites continue to ensure their gains are put first.
