It just occurred to me, Voldemorts name origin is stupid.

Tom Marvolo Riddle is his original name, and just coincidentally it translates to "I am lord Voldemort"..

Did he seriously name himself Lord Voldemort just because his full name can spell out Voldemort after "I am lord-"?

🤦‍♂️

May as well have been Mordvolet, maybe if he was a Hufflepuff.

@SW-User Apparently the author confirmed that it is his name. And I just remembered out of nowhere that it was also the twist at the end of the chamber of secrets that it was just an anagram.

So, yes; this must have been Voldemorts thought process.
