Why do some people especially guys burp so loud?! Its rude!

It is so annoying. I burp and say excuse me. Even at home to play it safe. My brothers and dad burp out loud at home and don't say excuse me. Even my mom does it and don't say excuse me. In public they say excuse me. What ever happened to proper manners?
