Anyone ever heard of toxic shame?

I recently learned of it and realized I suffer from it... also learned how to overcome it. It's basically where you think deep down you are flawed to an unhealthy extreme. Anyone else suffer from this or think they do? Any advice for those that do?

Yes but I think it's true of me so maybe I am just extremely flawed?

@CheshireCatalyst Do you think people won't like you because your flaws? People think like us, too... wouldn't you accept someone like you or if not you... someone flawed differently?

@psalm119 yes but I want to continuously improve so my instinct is to purge myself of all flaws.

@CheshireCatalyst I've been that way for a long time but the thing I realized is it can be more destructive than good for me. I may continuously improve but in other aspects, it's keeping me from improving. As I read in the article I posted... unconditional self-acceptance is the best way to approach being like this. Life is but a vapor... things remember will be forgotten. I find it appealing to just be flawed and be okay with it openly with the world.. there's no more hiding myself away. I don't want to be sensitive to criticism because I can't accept who I am.. even the bad. To me, that is improving, too..
