How come it bothers me when nobody responds to me back?

I said good morning to my cousin and even my dad and mom but nobody responded back. Well my dad was on the phone so I didn't wanna interrupt.
I said good morning and they didn't respond. You're suppose to respond back when someone says good morning. Rude
