Insect DNA & Bird DNA

Outside of sci-fi, mixing DNA doesn't work too well. Animal DNA is largely toxic to plants and we need to differentiate our cells on a per tissue basis and that takes careful signalling and expression patterns.

As for insects and birds, insects have about half as many genes and no spines ...
