Do you try to avoid posting things here that you know will get people riled up?

For the most part, yes. It has been a long time since I've posted anything controversial. These days I don't really have the energy to deal with people's reactions to my unpopular opinions, and I don't want any trouble. And I don't really have the time for that either. But most importantly, I don't really see anything good coming out of it.

@TexChik If it comes to that, I will. I did once block someone who attacked me personally. At some point I probably will post some stuff again about political issues, once I've gotten some personal stuff dealt with and I'm feeling a little stronger again.

@TeresaRudolph71 I've come to the realization that it is entire impossible to have a civil discussion on things like politics and religion. I've said this twice now and I'll say it again, that we can't help if people get mad over certain views we have. It pretty much happens by default. How we respond when we are harrassed is up to us.
