It’s going to sound weird, but open multiple credit card accounts but don’t use them. One of the factors that raises your score is to have a high ratio of available credit to credit actually used. They view that as someone who has the restraint to not max out their credit cards and results in a higher score. The caveat is that the credit inquiries will have a negative impact. If you have existing credit, try to get those ceilings raised, which also helps that ratio. It’s still going to take some time, though.
