....you drop out for a few months, is it normal for them to totally ignore you and not try to contact you in any way?

Call one of the elders. Let them know. Ask to be on the prayer list. Go back as soon as you can.

@gregloa Yes. This is what I'm doing. I've also let them know I have chronic health conditions that sometimes hinder me from attending.
