Should you be able to pay for your gas with cash at the pump

I know most gas stations you can do that if you have a credit/debit card but sometimes I wanna pay cash and don't want to walk inside 🤷

Here in South Africa you can pay that way at every single petrol/gas station.

@TryingtoLava Well in SA you may not do it yourself. Pump attendants must do it. You never put fuel in yourself.

@TryingtoLava What ? If you like the pump attendant will also check your oil, the air in your tyres and wash your windscreen. All without you having to get out of your car. It's the norm.

I think the biggest problem with this is that people would try to rob the gas pumps and very few gas stations have enough security 24/7 to manage it.

There are some full serve stations around the countryside but not in the cities anymore. I usually get a coffee from the store anyway
