That would be the catholic church your thinking about.

I agree with Malia. I don't see any connection between them. I don't have any interest in nudism, but I know some people think it is a healthy life style, but I think the openness is likely to reduce child abuse rather than promote it. Anyway if someone got excited over naked children I would think their excitement would be pretty obvious to all, lol.

@spongemunky: That's how I feel about religion. I don't think parents should be allowed to expose their kids to it until they're 18 and can decide for themselves if they want to be involved in church, mosque, synagogue, etc.

@spongemunky: in several years as a child protection worker i have never heard of a situation like this. As with anything it is the parents job to care for their kids. If parents dont do their part kids get abused in all sorts of settings.

No, they are not. And if you'd ever been to one, you'd know that and wouldn't ask such a stupid question.
Nudism is not about sex. The fact that you think it is says a lot about you.

A child is far more likely to be abused or molested in a religious setting than at a nudist resort.

@spongemunky: I brought up religion because it's a good example of children being forced into something before they can make an informed decision as to whether they want to be involved in it. But if that's lost on you, then I'll move on.

Children are not naturally ashamed of their bodies. When my son was 2 or 3, he went through a phase where he spontaneously undressed himself. Taking kids to nudist resorts up to puberty is not going to harm them at all; in fact, it will allow them to develop a healthy regard for their own bodies and respect for others' bodies. I can, however, see why an adolescent may not want to go to a nude resort, and if they express this, their parents should respect it and not force them. I don't think adolescents should be forced to attend religious services if they don't want to, either.

Obviously you've never been to a nude resort, because "creepy old men" are in the minority, and none of them are there to record or molest kids. A kid is probably safer at the average nude resort than at the average church youth group where clergymen and other leaders routinely molest and abuse them with little accountabiity.

So my argument is that the concept you have of nude resorts doesn't exist in reality. But maybe you can provide some references to news stories from credible sources that describe scandals at nude resorts, or peer-reviewed studies by academic authorities that give valid statistics of such abuse. Until you can provide that, you're just talking out of your ass.

absolutely not - why would you even think that? have you ever been to one, or are you just making wild accusations based on your own ignorance, malice and stupidity?
