That should settle it. He lost a "friendship" if it ever was that much to him, one will wonder. I wouldn't waste time on him; he better not run around a bitch about losing a friendship over nothing, or you reacting unfairly though. He should own his own unacceptable dick move. At times that seems to be a more tough one on some rather than others. My thoughts are that there are no real winners by an ended friendship, and it certainly won't be any better by anyone of them to bitch around on the matter [not talking about your specific case but in generic terms on the subject].
