Ever had a sleep paralysis experience and what do you think of it

I haven't had one myself but my cousin had one and told me about it. He said he got lifted up off his bed like a feather and he could see black figures moving around in his room. He's a big dude like 6 foot 200 plus pounds. I know he wasn't lying to me because we are close. Obviously you don't have to believe me. I hope it doesn't ever happen to me. It did freak me out a bit when he told me. I mean if they can lift him off his bed that easy they're just gonna send me flying out the window. I'm not a big guy ha.

Those figures are shadow people. I see them often. I’ve learned to sleep with nightlights or the tv on so that I can’t see them

I can’t really tell. They always look tall and thin to me @HannibalMontanimal

They who? Ghosts? I experience paralysis often and its not a nice feeling. When Im in this state I cannot move my body whatever I do. I can't make any sounds, blink, nothing. Also my breathing stops as well which is extra terrifying. Im there waiting until my body catches up with my brain but to another person I look like Im sleeping.

@Shell I can't say exactly what they are. Demons ? Evil spirits ? Shadow people ? There's no right term for it I just know they're not here to be our friends. Really I hope I never have to experience it.

@tdawg I just wonder why it only happens to certain people and not everyone. Either way it's creepy.

I experience it pretty often. The most recent one I experienced the usual inability to move or open my eyes, and I kept hearing banging on the front door and someone jiggling the knob like someone was trying to break in. But I couldn’t move no matter how hard I tried. It was terrifying.

@Effloresce Sounds like a nightmare.
I woke up but my whole body was still asleep, like your foot falls asleep, I could just barely lift my head, my body in pins and needles and when I looked at my solid bedroom door I could see someone looking through the closed door at me.

@Pitchblue Now that's creepy. I don't think it gets creepier than that.
@HannibalMontanimal When I was able to get up I had a sense of impending doom. Like if I didn't deal with something right now it would be life altering. I hid out in the bathroom for hours until the feeling went away.

I used to have a lot of episodes when things were shitty in my life. Just chemicals in the brain,that’s all. Seen some shadows,an old woman in black rags floating above me trying to bite me😂 but mostly heard things. Like dozens of voices whispering im my ear at once
