I have been bitten, slapped, shouted at, punched, kicked, stabbed with pencils and pens... my hair has been pulled... I've never been able to hit a woman, but sometimes, they need a baseball bat to their faces.

@SW-User As a paramedic I attend far more incidents involving male victims of female violence than vice versa. In many of these cases the victims felt unable to defend themselves properly because of this stupid, outdated, sexist idea that a man must never hit a woman. Far too many women play on that and think they can attack men with impunity.

@Caroline259 after watching my mum go through abuse, I swore to never act like the father.

@SW-User My husband was violently abused by his first wife so I have a better idea than most just how bad things can be for men. Male victims of domestic abuse have nowhere to turn. There are very few shelters for then and the sexist police routinely refuse to take action against female abusers.

@Caroline259 'you're a man, deal with it.'

@SW-User Yes, if he does they immediately turn on him.

@Caroline259 yet that's what's expected of us.

@SW-User oh no... thats cruel
SW-User
@Ishtar unfortunately, there was nothing I could do. No matter who I told, I was either laughed at or told to deal with it myself

@SW-User i can understand that. People have a hardtime accepting guys can be victims of violence too.

One of the problems is that the police routinely refuse to accept reports from male victims of female perpetrated violence.
