It was the American tour with their first laser show before lasers were regulated.
Jimmy page played a solo on his guitar with a green laser swirling above his head for “Stairway to Heaven” . Bonham Sr. played a 20 minute drum solo for “No Quarter”.
It was festival seating which was dangerous. If you remember The Who had people die in Cincy from the mob 2 years later.

@Pfuzylogic Yeeeah I heard about that !! Specifically the drum solo like damn it’s like getting an entirely new different sound as oppose to hearing the same track if u get what I mean. They managed to expand their songs specifically for concerts and continue to add layers upon layers to their tracks that ultimately created a new sound of the same song(s) you got one song done differently multiple times and they did it live! it seriously doesn’t get better than that. You’re so lucky you’ve got to experience that. Legit!

Bonham put so much grit and power in his drumming. He had a technique that was unique and very difficult to copy.
I weighed only 118 pounds when I was 18 and I was picked up off the ground when the crowd moved towards the door. The drugs didn’t help the experience. Cops were laughing on top of the wall that lead to the doors and there was screaming then.
I sat up in the seats and you could still smoke your weed then as long as the lights were out. Yeah thanks for the support. You knew when it happened it was a once in a lifetime experience.

Robert is still looking sharp!
