Does anyone else have dreams that they are falling..

I have when I’m just dozing and suddenly I fall off a cliff or something and then I jump or jolt in my sleepy state and wakes me up. A lot of people experience that.

Have long ago... I looked up dream meanings way back when, and don't trust my memory of what I read as it's been that long .... but in symbolic fashion, which many like to interpret dreams .... you are breaking away from something that affected you

kinda... sorta...I was climbing up and someone was chasing me so I had to push them off the edge in order to survive... then I woke up realizing what the dream world me had done.

I had a dream once where I was walking, and all of a sudden the sidewalk opened up like a trap door and I was falling through the sky.

They are quite common, apparently it is some sort of evolutionary trigger from when our mammalian forebears lived in trees.

sometimes, upon sleep initiation. it’s called a nocturnal hypnic jerk.

I hate those dreams. I want to kick its ass for doing that.
