I was in Cairo Egypt in 2001, I was completely amazed at how close to the city the pyramids actually are!! the whole trip (1 Week) was an absolute amazing time seeing all the sights, especially the Khan el khalili market!

I actually do but the cost to travel there from Canada is pretty steep! And during my other trip there is was paid for by the military as a week vacation.

Paris as a teenager in the 1950s (!). I can still conjure up the aroma from the sidewalk cafés. The warmth and the crowds outdoors, long after dark.

I was in Paris in 1978 on a college trip. I was 18 and I remember practicing my French with the young men who approached me and my classmates.

Only Paris. I don't remember it being particularly interesting, to be honest, but I wasn't there that long, and was still fairly young. It seemed about the same as any larger American city, just more eccentric than most of these, but less so than the Pacific coast metropoli I was used to.

Yes, yes, and yes. What are you looking to do? Culture, food, people???
Northwest · M
@exita No, but my business, for a while, used to take me to these places about once a month.
exita · 26-30, F
@Northwest thants wonderful . For the record ,the first placr is my home ☺

@exita Your home has certainly changed over the years. One of my favorites breakfast spots is the Karakol Rastaurant, in the garden of the Topkapi Palace. It's a simple meal of eggs over easy with olives, cucumbers and tomatoes.

I am concerned that Turkey has taken a religious turn that's going to be difficult to recover from, as well as a case of "let's revive the Ottoman Empire". I understand Patriotism, but Nationalism is bad.
