Guide to customising your SW feed

Someone suggested I do a post on this... so here goes.

How to customise your feed. It's really easy....

First go to the home page of SW - click on Home in top left.

You can then click on Customize Feed[b]


Then you get the options below


These are my settings - I don't see everyone in my feed. Sorry everyone but a lot of people post stuff I've really got zero interest in. So I only see stuff from people in my circle or in groups I've joined. Hence why I have (maybe in some people's eyes) a lot in my circle, if I read a post and like what I read I'll click on your profile and add you so I can read more from you in the future. I have a lot of groups and regularly add - that's how I meet new people. If you're new and post in a group I'm interested in I'll read it.
Finally on my settings I don't have comments in my feed at all since I normally follow posts I've replied on and they appear in my notifications. I can always go to a post/question and desubscribe from notifications on that one post if it is filling up my notifications. I do that sometimes, it isn't that common for me.

Here's the interesting bit - these options will change depending on the combinations you go for.

If you want comments in your feed you can adjust, to a degree, how many etc. you see. I've never really used that but if you like it - play with these controls to see what works best.

So that is how I sort my feed out. If, like me, you feel a lot on the full feed is just stuff you'd rather not see or have to scroll past try it out and see if this can help you.
