@CharlieZ we also evolved with time we did.... If they were not got extinct due to big forehead size then definitely they must be ruling over us in today life!

@AngelKrish Plus most of us have some Neanderthal DNA anyway. They interbred until full Neanderthal became extinct.

@DarkHeaven Neanderthal and Cromagnon man both belongs to Homosapiens! Many similarities were present like today homosapiens sapiens!
Like animal domestication, painting, well developed language centers!
Buried their dead and probably believed in immortality of soul!
Omnivores etc!

@AngelKrish Doesn’t mean that we could have mated. We share a 99% match of DNA with chimpanzees but we cannot produce offspring. However as DNA testing now proves, clearly we could and did with Neanderthals.

@DarkHeaven i didn't said anything about mating between them! That 1% difference is enough to make big difference between humans and chimpanzee!
That one 1% effects like our blood is not compatible with chimpanzees, if it was completely matched then human definitely have caused their extinction by using them!

Most of knowledge and the structured way we use it is not stored in / by individual biological brains, but in social cultural resources, as are Science, Culture and Civilization.
Which, all of them, are social and not individual.
Besides that, we are the same species.
And they / we evolved in what we are.
Mainly socially: the object of evolution in our case instead of our biology.
And, what are the visible results of such human evolution? Exactly the ones I´ve said, what we have and they do not. The collective store, develope use of cognitive resources. Which is the actual and real meaning of intelligence.

In resume: WE are Cro Magnon, the evolved ones.
