Aging is a disease that needs to be cured
Fernie · F
@basilfawlty89 and one day it probably will be, we won't die, which is why we'll be living on other planets if we make it that long...all so stupid
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Fernie I don't think it's stupidity, death is a horrible thing, losing people you love is horrendous. If we can stop that it would give us more time with our loved ones. And I look forward to space exploration.

@basilfawlty89 If we were not so damn selfish we would slow down the population and work on fixing the damage we continue to do on this precious planet. Everything up there will be artificial. Space exploration is something else....not colonization
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Fernie I don't see an issue with colonization either, as long as we don't displace any native species. And we are researching healing the planet. Alternative energy sources, lab grown meat and vertical farming are all being researched.

@basilfawlty89 horrifying
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Fernie why? Why do people assume "natural" is always so good. Surgery isn't natural but saves lives daily.
Fernie · F
@basilfawlty89 Personally, I feel strongly that if it's time to go...we should go.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Fernie that's you though, I don't think we shouldn't repair damage, because the prevailing theory of aging is that's just damage accumulation. You get animals in nature with negligible senescence. And people who don't want it can always opt out. Me I wanna live as long as possible, and I want my loved ones to live as long as possible.

@basilfawlty89 Thank you for telling me that "that's you though" ...I thought EVERYONE felt the same way!
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@Fernie there's no need to be rude
