A male teacher texting you at night is unprofessional, speaking as a former teacher. You might want to casually bring it up in class and act naive about it as if it is okay in front of the class and speak really loud and watch your teacher’s reaction. The more extreme his embarrassment will let you know how inappropriate it is.
