Do you have the key to someones heart? are you very responsible with it or not?

It wasn't always like this... but after a shaky start my wife and I now have three generations of descendants and I regularly go out of my way to ensure that not one of them even needs a door on their heart around me never mind a lock. I'm proud to say it's one of few precious things in life I think I've learned quite well.
