I am officially 18 today!

@winchesterbros this is an opinion ,take it for what its worth ,,but that saying is worn out ,and not the norm ,
with age usually comes wisdom ,maturity and confidence
you had to do something right to get old ,,

those you speak of are quitters and settlers ,they are the ones who never done anything with their lives ,,
Tech has made people lazy and more immature ,,
but there are some in their 60 and 70 still bitter ,
life didn't turn out like they planned ,,who do fit that statement ,
But meet people who have been broken a few times ,
lost it all and refused to quit ,each time coming back faster and better then before ,,then you can respect the struggle ,,
When everything is handed to you
age is a number
You never learned to appreciate anything
and why should they ,,it didn't cost them anything
Hardship builds character ,,or makes you bitter
you can easily tell which road they took
and they are still blaming everyone else ..
never learned to take responsibility for their own actions
but someone who has struggled ,,
rarely takes things for granted ,and they are wise
Jerks are usually jerks ,,because someone enabled them to be that way ,and they never learned coping skills
I love my little 12 yr old friend who thinks he knows what I know ,,,maybe in another 50 yrs ,,,LOL

nah, many people who are old still dont know squat. theres a lot of people who are on drugs or alcoholics or done something criminal. you can be younger and be more mature than older people. age has nothing to do with it, its all behavioral.

You can't lay around and do drugs when you come from a place
you don't work ,you don't eat ,,

@rckt148 a lot of drug use started in the 60's. but if you look online you can tell age doesnt mean maturity. an older person is just as capable of being immature as the younger people.

ive talked to a lot of people online and seen a lot of behaviors online. i can definitely say age doesnt make a person wise nor mature

Boys given LSD to make them do recon missions ,who then needed weed to sleep or Heroin
the Coke of the 80's the Crack ,,then meth and Oxies
I have seen the rise and fall of a nation in the last 40 plus years ,,,and they net played a huge part in that ,,
When both parents had to work and TV's raised kids ,,
there is a chart thats pretty accurate that shows somewhere in the beginning of the 80's the USA went to shit ,,
But the groundwork began in the 70 when boys started coming home from Vietnam ,,addicts ,,made that way by our own government ,,and then tossed out with the trash

@rckt148 weed began in the 60's, more drugs were smuggled in the US from other countries like you said from the war. im older than some of you are realizing. i know a lot of that history, lived it. thats why i can fully say that age doesnt make a person mature. i think people are just getting offended because of it.

@winchesterbros I was smoking weed with hippies and Jamaicans and old black men in the 60's ,,but the real deal stuff did not come into the USA until the 80's when guys who smoked that type of weed come home from Vietnam ,they were addicts and wanted better then the weed that was home grown or from Mexico ,,
the Columbian red bud and Acapulco Gold Barneys Farm from Mexico was the best around and you paid dearly for it ,,then Kona from Hawaii
I spent 4 yrs in the US Coast Guard trying to keep Pablo Escobar from killing us or blowing us up with booby trapped derelict ships placed at sea for us to board and blow us up
You might say I have been on both sides of the fence a very long time ,,but I can give you an accurate time line as to which drugs were popular and what years and the damage they did to our country
But as Russia once said
They would invade this country and not even need to fire a shot ,,they would keep sending us the tools to destroy ourselves ,,but the Tech has pushed that along faster then drugs ,,the new drug is dopamine
The addiction caused by cell phones LOL
We can lay blame all over the place ..
every generation has its good and bad ,,
having a degree does not make you any smarter either
There was an agenda to dumb down our country
I would say its worked
And I mean no one any disrespect ,,this is just my opinion
back in the day I could have a mature conversation and it did not turn into the mess we have on line
You got to carried away ,,someone shut you up ,,there were no screens to hide behind ,,and you couldn't lie about your age ,,LOL ,,have a good one
