...is it normal for spiders to be able to climb glass?

It's straight up. And the spider climbed it. How unexpected.

Lots of spiders have hooks on the end of their feet, which allow them to cling to and climb stuff.

Just realized. My sister used this cup to rinse her brushes while painting. There's paint residue inside. Now I feel silly. Lol.@deadgerbil

@monimathu Wrong
At the molecular level, even the smoothest surfaces are rough, so if the spider’s hairs were rigid, the arachnid could make contact only with certain parts of the surface. But because the hairs are malleable, they can make contact with more of the surface, which provides additional stickiness
@GlitterBug The residue would definitely give the spider something more to latch onto lol

@monimathu A spider can climb on soft things(such as curtains, clothing, etc) and residue. Nothing bars a spider from doing so.

Before, you insisted that glass is smooth with no irregularities when it's actually not.

Are you just saying 'whatever'? What's your deal?
