If there was an option to pay a tax to eat out as a public service, do you think private restaurants would go out of business?

No. So far any public service available is "Too little, too late."

@Anonymartyr doesn't mean it's not possible though.
@JovialPlutonian Neither is Jesus.

@Anonymartyr neither is Jesus what?!
@JovialPlutonian The reality of Jesus is no less likely than government ever doing anything good for its people.

@Anonymartyr all possibilities exist, this is just the one you choose to experience.
@JovialPlutonian I advocate for the poor and homeless because the help available to them is grossly inadequate. 50 years of politicians have failed to even address this epidemic. The cripples and elderly fall farther behind s the governments cater to everyone else. People who constantly drive everywhere are oblivious to this reality. to have a perspective, one must first witness or experience something.

@Anonymartyr ignorance is the biggest pitiful of humanity
@JovialPlutonian Absolutely.
Ignorance is more than not knowing- it is a deliberate decision to avoid learning or experiencing. And the world is generally terribly ignorant.

@Anonymartyr it's what's made me open to nihilism
