Would you rather: have to make small talk with other parents at the playground or put your hand inside a blender?

When I was a bartender my mind was like a filing cabinet. Each customer had a file. They sat down, I poured and flipped to their info. Picked up just where we left off last time.


And I loathe small talk now.
