Why is it called kidnapping if you steal an adult?

if they aren't willing, it becomes a mess with the whole civil rights thing going on. Otherwise a girl wouldn't ever get married, she would just get grabbed and used as breeding stock...like it was before we all became civilized.

@TexChik don’t say “we all” because there are people who are not civilized at all, they pretend to be but they’d do it in a heartbeat if they think they could get by with it.

@cherokeepatti True, those are psychopaths. And stealing women and children is a huge problem. I have a friend in New Mexico that told me all the women are armed and go everywhere in packs...And the young women don't go out without adults present.

@TexChik human trafficking is horrible in some areas. East coast board walk areas teens will go to walk around and they get snatched sometimes. Houston area is a hive of it. When we lived in the university apartments there was a student living next door. She had her window open and my daughter was playing in the green area and overhead a conversation. Some woman that had befriended this student was attempting to lure her down to Houston to work a job & telling her it paid big money & she wouldn’t have to do anything she didn’t want to. I figured it was an “escort” job that would have her working for a pimp slapping her around till she got used up. She moved out at the end of the semester and I thought she might have taken the bait but was happy to see her having a yard sale after she had gotten married a few years later.
