Why do some people get hostile when they've asked a question but don't like the answer they wanted?

Why did they ask in the first place if they didn't want to hear differing points of view. Beats me. 🤔

It can be the tone of the person who answered. Not necessarily the answer. Especially if the person is close to you here.

@Zonuss That's true although hard to discern "tone" sometimes. In this instance the person concerned was not remotely close.
