Why do some people get hostile when they've asked a question but don't like the answer they wanted?

Why did they ask in the first place if they didn't want to hear differing points of view. Beats me. 馃

Because people read something with their own perception. Say a topic is sensitive or they have pre-determined expectation of attacks, they're bound to be defensive at the onset.
Or, people are unable to listen to different views without having a breakdown that comes out as hostility.

Either way, people need to calm down and listen to what is being said.
