There are courses you can take online. For commodities (the most risky), you basically need to learn or already know ONE commodity and how it works. For currency, you can learn 2-3 currencies and how to trade them.
Real estate is another great money making area. It takes 2-3 years to get going. You can sell properties; office buildings pay the highest commissions. Upscale homes can work, too. Fixing up houses and selling them is good but it's hard work at first.
Other ideas: Audition for game shows. Enter sweepstakes as a hobby and hope to eventually be lucky. Start a small business and grow it into a bigger business and then sell it.
