I have never lost faith in humanity. I have frequently lost faith in someone or more people, but only as individuals. I am a human. I know a lot more good decent humans than the other kind.
I'm aware that there are a lot of bad, cruel, evil, people in the world, but I believe two things.
1) they always existed in probably the same good to bad ratio as we have now
2) we are simply more aware of them now because of the ease of communication and the fact that people much prefer to report on the bad news than the good. Apparently, bad news is profitable; good news isn't.
Why? Because there's just too much of it and it would eventually be a matter of people saying, "So, what? So someone did a good thing. So what else is new?"
