That did happen to me more then once
I had a black lady offer me a room ,she was an old friend who had known me since I was a baby ,
but she had all these beautiful plants around her screened in porch ,,it was like an exotic garden ,,my Eden
It had a couch ,I asked can I sleep there ,,
no Baby you sleep in my bed ,,I sleep on the couch ,,,NO MAM ,,I want to sleep here ,,,I did for 6 months
She met me every night with hot food and a beer (she didn't drink ,,she wanted me to eat and go to sleep ,,not hit the road to a club that stayed open until 5am )
Another good friend offered me his kids bed ,,I asked for the floor ,,they let me stay a few months ,since I wouldnt take the bed they bought me an army cot ,,it was more comfortable then the floor I admit ,,I was not taking that child's bed ..
When I was homeless ,living in a hobo camp ,a lady from a mission I ate at asked me to come stay in her home ,,,but I didn't want anyone talking so I only agreed if my friend could come too ,,,she agreed
She also had a screened in deck with a day bed ,,it was on the side of a mountain ,,so beautiful ,,
guess where I wanted to sleep ?
She helped me get a car ,a job ,,and record an album
She became my manager ,,,as I went on tour as a gospel star
She seen me in the gutter and pulled me up ,,
God blessed both of us in a mighty way ,,best prayer partner I ever had ,,,I was 34 ,,she was 80 ,,My Sister ,My Friend
