I don't think anyone is inherently hateful

Well, the majority of people at least. Everyone just acts according to what they believe is the right thing, nobody is intentionally trying to be evil and that's why I think tolerance and PATIENCE to understand people is very important. I also think its unfortunate that politics divides us so much and try to avoid making politics a part of my personality as much as possible. . .

As I get older I find I disagree with this thought more and more. I believe people are inherently selfish. Only care for themselves in most instances and in the event they are not socially adjusted when they are younger it becomes more dangerous. No amount of understanding will help that. I wish you were right though

@dravy81 I also think that's true, its human nature to be selfish for survival but I don't think being selfish and not being wicked are mutually exclusive. I mean, after taking care of their own personal needs, I don't think anyone intentionally wants to harm anyone else with their actions
