Referring to girls or women in conversation as “females”. Seems dehumanizing. Every species with two genders has “females”. The terms for human females are women and girls. May seem like a small thing, but it means something. Another issue, people who use the “n” word, any form of it. That’s a blockable offense to me.

@bijouxbroussard Agreed with you on both counts. The n-word is a no brainer and the 'females' thing is a massive pet peeve of mine. Nobody ever says 'males' int he same way.

What seems worse is when you call a woman a "dame" or else "my old lady" even it's your girlfriend or wife.
@MaryJanine Yes, but calling women and girls “females” seems to be something new folks have picked up.

@bijouxbroussard I'm glad I'm not the only one who's noticed. It makes them sound like Ferengi, and I think they probably have a similar attitude.
