that indicas and sativas are totally different plants. indicas are marijuana/psychoactive, and hemp/sativas are not.
people often, erroneously, refer to Afghani/middle eastern marijuana as indica, and Mexican/south American marijuana as sativas. they’re both indicas.
what’s more important than lineage, furthermore, is terpenes, as far as medicinal benefits go.
but the industry tolerates and perpetuates this misinformation, so it’s not likely to change.
