I know this isn't an answer, but it bothers me just how many people think mental illness doesn't exist.

@Lincoln Exactly , especially for people of color I honestly think we have it the worst!

Whys that? @Chickie

@Lincoln na you’re good 🤗💕Or when they over generalize things to make it seem like everyone is a little ‘mental’ and to get over it, while people going through difficult stuff just want to have this validated for what it is....?

@TheLoveAge Yep! I'm not sure how you just get over it if it's a biological deficiency.

@GlitterBug well, from my experience when I open up to others about my child abuse and mental illness they always never take the abuse seriously and they think because I can act normal that I am not very ill they are ignorant and think "it's a white thing"
GlitterBug · 22-25, F
Very ignorant of them. I’m sorry you’ve had that experience. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard mental illness called ‘a white thing’ before.

@GlitterBug I am finally getting the help I need so I don't worry about those type of people too much
