Have you ever used the silent treatment on anyone?

And/or just ignored a person or people? If so, for how long? Or how long do you typically wait to end it? And what are your reasons for doing it... both why you start and what you hope to accomplish? Is it usually effective? Conversely, has anyone ever done this to you and what happened? Do you feel people should do this more? Less? Doesn't matter?

I don't do that. It is very passive aggressive and childish.

@SweetMae Many people would disagree and say it's a better option because it's like taking the high road or "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all". But on the other hand, some people's feelings could get more hurt by it. So that's kinda why I asked the question. Thanks for the response.
