Why are peple so sensitive on here and in real life?

People act like they can not disagree with someone or have someone that has a differing opinion to their own. Why? Personally i disagree with people all the time and it causes no hard feelings.

I imagine it’s the topic and how someone expresses their disagreement that often determines the reaction.
