that's just because that's where their mirror is. its a wider perspective than a hand-held selfie, similar effect to someone taking a picture of you but without the need of a second person.

They're too cheap to buy a $10 selfie stick.

They don’t know how to press the flip button so their camera is facing them.

They look in the mirror naked and think everyone should see this

I think they want more of a body shot, or some to hide their face.

Isnt it easier to get the shot you want when you are taking a picture of yourself in the mirror as opposed to setting up your camera and hoping for a good shot🤔

Also there's a technical answer but taking a photo of yourself from arms length tends to Mahindra those things closest more than you think... In reality you end up with a big hooter!... And for all you North American types, that's your nose ;)
