Any tips to almost guarentee me the job?

I'm 17f applying to be a hostess or waitress at a new restaurant opening up.

I agree with the crowned jewel. Tell them you can work whenever, and you will do whatever, and you are good at every thing you do.

If you can do that and make it believable, you will get the job.

@crownedwithlaurel97 Hehe, I was a restaurant manager through my teens and 20's.

@JustDifferent they'll be a little more lax then. if you're part of any activities or clubs let them know so that they can see you're involved and work with people well. i was in your same position 3 years ago

@JustDifferent Tell them what you want, but try not to be more restrictive than you have to. I worked 50hrs a week at McDonalds when I was in High School, and I worked until 1am.

It was hard to make school the next day and keep up with my home work, but I passed with Honors.

Hard to get away with that these days. Certainly, McDonalds was in violation of the law, but I wanted the money as bad as they needed me.

So it is up to you. You want money, and they need someone to work. If you can give them what they need, they will give you what you need.

Remember, you need to give them what they need first, or you will never get what you need.

Since it’s a waitress job, say that you absolutely love being around people, and that you have a great attitude, and you’re good at multitasking

@crownedwithlaurel97 yeah plus he was only my boss for 3 days and his replacements have seen me as a valuable asset and not just a cute piece of meat

@ForeverGrowingOld That can be part of the equation.
Clean fingernails, well-groomed!

be as available as possible when they ask when you can work and don't be afraid to brag about yourself
JustDifferent · 22-25, F
@JustDifferent what interview questions were you asked?
crownedwithlaurel97 · 26-30, F
@JustDifferent okay honestly my current job just hired me cause i knew the owner well but at previous job interviews they asked the typical availability questions, what i did at school, how i might react in certain situations, and i think that was it really. maybe 10 to 15 minutes tops

@crownedwithlaurel97 Thanks 😁

Be careful appearing desperate, if they are good people you have nothing to worry about but if not you will be rubbed into the ground for as little as they can pay you and discarded without a thought when you are spent.

Confident and happy. The sort of person customers will want to deal with
