During my lifetime? I can't really think of anyone at the moment, though I can't say that I was particularly sad when I heard that my 2nd and 3rd grade teacher (I had the same teacher both years) had died. She did a good job of teaching us good penmanship, spelling, grammar, and math, but she was also very abusive. I was terrified of her.

I kind of wondered if it might have been better if I could have talked to her years later, as an adult, when I was no longer afraid of her, and told her how everything she had done affected me. But that might not have made any difference. And I believe that when we die, we feel everything that we have ever caused anyone else to feel, and then we really know what we have done. So I think she knows now how much she hurt and damaged me. Is it terrible that I take some solace in that?
