Is it possible to have some civil discourse and reasonable debate here?

Is it automatic to resort to name calling and verbal abuse? Don't get me wrong I have been guilty of this myself. But for some it seems to be their modus operandi.

It's possible with the more mature minded folks, but it's hard to find people here who don't resort to name calling during a disagreement and that's really sad. A good debate is beneficial for learning in my opinion.

@SW-User when someone resorts to personal attacks they are signaling that they either can not discuss with any sort intelligence or they can not back their opinion with facts

@jetpack I absolutely agree, it's a tactic people use to divert attention away from the fact they can't back up their points.
