Is it possible to have some civil discourse and reasonable debate here?

Is it automatic to resort to name calling and verbal abuse? Don't get me wrong I have been guilty of this myself. But for some it seems to be their modus operandi.

Try specifying that you want to have a reasonable conversation at the start. Try and not make claims that also insult the readers. Juat let them know you want to learn more.
