@emptysoul44 There's actually a type of spider that catches and eats birds.

@TeirdalinFirefall i heard about that. They live in Australia? The deadliest spiders live there
TeirdalinFirefall31-35, M
@emptysoul44 Northern South America actually, the Goliath Birdeater.

Apparently they also eat mice and rats and stuff, and some people keep them as pets. Personally, I don't think I ever would want one anywhere near me. lol

@TeirdalinFirefall looks like a tarantula. We used to play with Tarantulas

@emptysoul44 Yep, it's a type of tarantula. Apparently the largest spider by size by shorter leg-span than the giant huntsman spider.

@TeirdalinFirefall she must have a strong web to catch birds

@emptysoul44 Seems it mostly eats bugs, but has been known to eat them. Looking up online, apparently it doesn't use its web to catch things but rather the vibrations.

"The Goliath patiently waits, sensing the vibrations around the entrance of its burrow, with its sensitive hairs. As soon as it senses a potential prey animal, the spider burst out from the burrow to grab it."
