Have you ever lived bad?

As in not eating but the poorest?

When I was 16 I moved away from my hometown and rented an apartment for myself in a bigger city.
I didn't really make enough money to pay rent AND eat, so I chose to pay rent and see how long I'd last on like, a bowl of rice a day.
