What do you think about people still driving at 98 after Prince Philips accident?

I don't think personally that it's safe..

I think a solution is needed for old people (or any age) who lose their driving ability but lack access to both public transport and urban facilities, but can't afford to relocate.

@Really I agree but that still is not a good enough reason to get behind a wheel if they haven't deemed you safe..it's too big a risk.

@Primnproper] You're not paying attention. I said a solution was needed - nothing about something being 'enough reason to get behind a wheel.'

and ... "they" haven't deemed you safe

who are "they?" Do you mean, for instance, people who will 'deem you unsafe' when all they really know about you is your age???

@Really authorities, officials and doctors could deem them safe if there were tests set in place for it. I was merely saying that even if they were in the circumstances you provided that it's still not a reason to be behind a wheel if they are not equipped to deal with it. The minute anyone gets behind a wheel they have other people's lives in their hands not just their own.

@Primnproper To be clear: You're not suggesting I said that people who are not equipped to deal with it (for whatever reason) should get behind the wheel; or implying that I'm unaware drivers have their own and others' lives in their hands?

Surely theses things go without saying and they have nothing to do with a licensed driver's age; old or young.

@Really thank you for the clarity.
