At what age would you settle?

I mean, you probably have your own idea of what the perfect partner is for you right now, but at about what age or period of your life, you'd be like: "I can't be choosy no more, got to settle for what I get, so I wouldn't die alone and there wouldn't be anyone left to take care of my cats"?

I honestly hope I never get to a point where I feel that hopeless because I'm drawing a complete blank. I can't imagine just putting up with a situation that doesn't satisfy me because I think I don't have any time left to improve upon it.
