We are told to be more in touch with our emotions and communicate, then when we do that we are a bunch of whiners who are crying about nothing.

@Quizzical women are told what to be all the time. Everything is always contradicting. I think this whole thing is a matter of victims convincing other people theyre being attacked too. Everyone totally lost veiw over what the issues are. This really is a fight for power. Eventually everyone forgets what the fight is about and just keeps fighting. You are right to just do what you do. This is why women seem to change at certain parts of their life. We stop caring about other peoples wants and just do what serves us and ours.

@NeuroticByNature The thing is, we are ALL told what to do all the time because we are not the ones in power. It's not just pertaining to women. In the grand scale I am just as powerless as you.

There isn't some secret patriarchy or conspiracy giving men an easy ride in life as a lot of Feminists would have everyone believe. In fact, in some areas we have it harder.

The only real conspiracy is that those in power will do anything to keep it and keep the rest of us scrabbling around fighting each other.

In essence, this advert pretty much besmirched all men everywhere, no matter how good or bad they are.

It went so far as to blame men for cyber-bullying of all bloody things... Which is certainly not a gender specific issue.

In essence our masculinity has been attacked, and even just using the word masculinity these days has an attached invisible 'toxic' in front of it as if being masculine is a bad thing and femininity is the only true way.

We are in a situation where we have women telling men how men should behave when they have never experienced being a man, and yet if we dare to suggest that women should behave a certain way we are misogynists.

The situation is getting ridiculous quite frankly.

@NeuroticByNature I realise it's not all women... In fact some of the most vociferous comments on the day of the ads release were from women decrying the advert on behalf of their fathers, husbands, brothers, and sons.

I'm not sure this can be fixed either. I firmly believe that Third Wave feminists will not be happy until men are reduced to second class citizens and grunts. They've infiltrated the media, and whoever controls the media controls the populace.

It sounds like a conspiracy, but I've actually read Feminist publications that belonged to an ex girlfriend (and THAT was a huge mistake) and the main thing I took from it was that the current incarnation of Feminism is not interested in equality, they are interested in grabbing as much power as possible...

Modern Feminism doesn't do anyone any favours. It vilifies men and convinces women they are eternal victims, and the end result is a loss of trust in each other and a breakdown in communication between the genders.
